Highway from Munich A 9 until crossing Nuernberg Feucht. Leave the Highway with direction A73 Nuernberg Fuerth.
Follow the A73 up to the crossing Nuernberg Hafen. Remain on A73 direction Nuernberg/Fuerth ( don’t take B8 direction Bamberg!!). The highway ends at a traffic light.
Stay on this street and pass the railroad tunnel up to the next traffic light (right hand is a used car dealer), at this traffic light turn right. Follow this road (Kohlenhofstrasse) up to the second traffic light, than left into the Steinbuehlerstrasse, straightforward up to the second traffic light.
You stay now on a big junction called Plaerrer. Cross the roads first straightforward and then half left, now the old part of the town wall is right hand. Follow the signs direction “Erlangen” (don’t enter the old town on the Ludwigstor!!!).
The next possibility to enter the old town is the Fürther Tor (marked as the red range), please turn right and pass the city wall under the gate then straightforward, approx. 300 m, to the Josephsplatz, after the turning range, approx. 30m, you see our hotel on the left roadside.
